About Me

First of all, welcome to my little spot in the blogging community!  I'm excited to share my journey with you... but first let me tell you a little about myself.

Fist and foremost I am a child of God.  I am also a wife to Joshua (married 11 years), mother to Kylee (6) and Jayce (3).  I work outside of the home as a financial controller for an agriculture cooperative, which I have enjoyed for almost 10 years.  I do enjoy my job but my heart is at home with these precious gifts from God!

A little about the 'Love of My Life'

Joshua and I are high school sweethearts.  We've been together for 16 years and married for 11 of them.  What an amazing journey these years have been.  Joshua is an Electrical Lineman and has worked for the local REA for almost 12 years.  Being the wife of a lineman you learn to work around 'on-call' schedules and how to love and support these lineman when they have to go out into a lightening storm, snow storm or a fire to restore power.  We are so proud of the work he does!  When Joshua is not working we definitely enjoy our time as a family.  He too helps with the AWANA program at our church and enjoys working with the older boys and those boys just love him.  Joshua also really enjoys snowmobiling in the mountains too.  For now it's a time for him to go with 'the guys', but I think we'll be going as a family in the near future as our kids are getting big enough.  I love this man so very much and thank God for him each and every day.  He has been a huge source of encouragement through this journey!

A little about our sweet Kylee!

Miss Kylee (age 6) is our oldest and she is a pure joy!  She has captured our hearts from the very first time we held her and saw those beautiful blue eyes!  Kylee just started Kindergarten this year and just loves it.  She is also a 'Sparky' in the AWANA program this year and loves learning God's word.  She can be pretty shy and quiet but also very genuine and kind hearted.  She enjoys learning new things like cooking, sewing, cross stitching and is always the first to ask me how far I ran when I walk in the door.  When the weather is nice she loves to go for a short run with me or ride her bike while I run.  I look forward to the day when this little girl becomes my running pal!

A little about our silly Jayce!

Mr. Jayce (age 3) is our youngest and let's just say his smile says it all!  I had no idea what I was in for when the Lord blessed us with this precious boy.  He literally makes us all laugh each and every day, sometimes making discipline a little bit of a challenge.  He loves working out in Daddy's shop learning how to fix, clean and take care of things so that he will make a wonderful husband and father some day.  He's also the first one to come running to the kitchen to help me fix a meal or do some baking.  Jayce is a 'Cubbie' in the AWANA program this year and although it is quite a challenge to get him to focus and memorize his bible verses each week, they are definitely written on his heart after he learns them.  I pray that some day he will become a wonderful husband who loves the Lord and his family!

Approximately 8 months ago I began running.  This new passion has had a drastic impact on so many areas of my life, including spiritually, physically and emotionally.  My goal is to share this journey with my kids (as they get older) and others who are sharing in this journey with me.  And if just one post touches someone the way so many blogs have touched my heart, it will have served its purpose.

Thank you for sharing this journey with me!

Share the Journey has been inspired by this verse:  'And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.  Let us fix our eyes on Jesus.' Hebrews 12:1-2

I just love how the Lord can speak to us in so many ways with just a couple verses.  This speaks volumes to me as a Christian, a mother and dare I say a runner!

Blessings,

Krystal
